Privacy Policy

As an important part of this relationship we are committed to protecting the personal information that you entrust to us.
Introduction
To provide our services to you, we may ask that you give us certain information, including your name, address and contact details, and sometimes bank/payment details. We understand that the confidentially of personal information is vitally important to you and we are committed to ensuring that all information entrusted to us is protected against misuse.

The Federal Government's National Privacy Principles which are set out in the Privacy Act (1988) represent a legal obligation which must be observed by many private sector organisations. We are committed to the protection of your privacy by acting in accordance with the requirements of the Privacy Act and the National Privacy Principles.

The National Privacy Principles control the way in which we may collect, store, use and disclose your personal information entrusted to us. Your personal information is any information, or an opinion about you where your identify is apparent, or can reasonably be ascertained. A copy of the National Privacy Principles may be obtained from the office of the Federal Privacy Commissioner or the website.

Your Personal Information

The amount and type of personal information we hold about you will depend on the nature of your relationship with us and the extent to which you have used our services. As a minimum we will have a record of your name, addresses and contact details including telephone numbers and in some cases fascimile numbers and email addresses. Post office box numbers and other contact details may also be held.

We may also hold information relating to financial matters, including bank account and credit card details, GST registration numbers. When performing consultancy, research into needs analysis or trouble-shooting we may also collect information about your business operations, marketing and organisational structure.

Collection of your personal information

We collect your personal information primarily to enable us to provide services which meet your needs. We will only collect your personal information where that personal information is necessary for one or more of our functions or activities we perform when providing services to you.

When collecting personal information, we will do so only by lawfull and fair means and not in an unreasonably intrusive manner. Full disclosure of your rights and consent will be sought whenever appropriate.

Use and disclosure of your personal information

To ensure that we can effectively provide you with the quality of services that we pride ourselves on, we will use and disclose your personal information for approved purposes and in a variety of ways associated with the approved purposes, including the following:

  • to address information technology requirements, systems maintenance and development;
  • to analyse and process the information for product and service development, marketing and research purposes and to extend and improve our range of services;
  • marketing directly to you in accordance with the National Privacy Principles;

  • to transfer assets or funds.

The types of persons and organisations to which we may disclose your personal information include the following:

  • organisations we have arrangements or agreements with for the purpose of promoting our products or services and agents used by us in administering such arrangements or agreements;
  • payment systems operators;
  • regulatory bodies, complaints processors, law enforcement bodies and courts; and
  • other parties to whom we are permitted, authorised or required by law to disclose information.
Your consent
Your consent will always be sought to the collection of sensitive information about you from you or those third parties. You may withdraw your consent to the use of personal information of any kind by completing or sending to us written notification of withdrawl of consent.

By continuing your relationship with us, you are taken to have agreed to the following on your own behalf you consent to the use and disclosure of your personal information for the approved purposes identified in this privacy policy.

Requests for access to and correction of your personal information

You have a right of access to your personal information we keep on you.

You may request details of the personal information about you. No fee will be charged for the making of the request. We may charge an administrative fee for the provision of this information to cover our costs. However, we will inform you of any fee at the time a request is made.

Accessing rights

Depending upon the nature of your request, we may ask you to complete a personal information access request form, and require you to properly identify yourself to verify your right to receive the personal information requested.

Correction

If you are aware of any of your personal information is inaccurate, incomplete or out-of-date following an access request, or because your circumstances have changed, please inform us so that we can update our records. We will correct any personal information that is not correct.

Complaints
You can lodge a complaint with us about any breach of our privacy obligations to you, including a breach of this privacy policy. You may also contact us to discuss any issues you have or concerns arising out of the way in which we use your personal information.
